Regulation (EU) 2025/40 generally applies from 12 August 2026. It covers packaging, including sustainability, substance, documentation and labelling requirements, with important provisions taking effect on different dates. Packaging obligations and product CE obligations are separate assessments. The PPWR does not create a general CE mark for packaging.
How we support this
We assess packaging specifications, supplier evidence and the relevant dates, identify documentation and declaration needs and clarify EPR responsibilities for the agreed destination markets. German projects can include a LUCID obligation check.
A PPWR assessment is more than a label check. National registration and financing duties must be distinguished from packaging conformity documentation.
